I got tired of plastic digital watches and decided to get something with hands. I like this watch because the numbers and hands are large and black on the cream-colored face. It is an EXCELLENT timekeeper, normally gaining 3 to 4 seconds A MONTH. Setting it is pretty easy and once the day and date are set, you don't need to change anything except on months that have less than 31 days. I changed the include band to a black silicone one that had white stitching, the included band was really nice looking, but I wear this watch all the time and in the heat the leather started to smell. The silicone one does not have this problem. This is an really nice looking watch in an understated way, you can wear it out to a nice place and dress up. I guess the best feature of all the Luminox watches is the tritium illumination. It is VERY bright and easy to read in a movie or at night in bed. No more looking at a nightstand clock to see what the time is. If you have never looked at a tritium watch you will be surprised how bright it is. Luminox says the illumination will last 25 years, although I would think it would dim before then. Be aware the watch case is a solid block of stainless steel and is somewhat heavy. If you have really small wrists, you won't like it I think. It is somewhat heavy but I got used to it quickly.
