Victorinox Swiss Army Men's 241410 Summit XLT Blue Dial Watch Review
I've had a Victorinox watch (can't remember what it was called) for 15 years-- its been with me in Afghanistan and Iraq-- and it has never failed me. It is accurate, has a long battery life, is light, and I loved the design of the watch face with easy to read white/illumniating hands and numbers against a black face. The only deficiencies were that I had to replace the watch band about every other year (and that wasn't easy) and the hands/numbers didn't hold an illumination very long. So when it came time to get a new watch, I saw this Summit XLT reviewed in Outdoor magazine and bought it. After a month, it has become my every day watch. It has all the features mentioned above with my older (still working) V'nox, but with improved illumination-duration and a much better watch band. The watch face doesn't appear as blue as the image on Amazon or the V'nox website, but it is still a very attractive watch. Also, at the V'nox website (www.victorinox.com), it says this watch has a uni-directional rotating bezel and a battery end-of-life indicator (EOL), neither of which are features on this watch. If they are, I haven't figured out how it works and the downloaded manual is no help. But those are small things for a watch that is functional, beautiful, and a great value....Read More
