I bought this watch because it did everything I wanted it too ( basically tell time in several ways, I didn't need a thermometer, altimeter or the like ), it looked cool and because I had researched watches and found that these are the watches that the navy seals often use. It was confusing to tell one watch from the other, when comparing, based solely on the model number and many watches look similar, though have different model numbers. I ordered the watch and had it in short order, faster than the anticipated time of arrival. I had watched several "unboxing videos" on Youtube on different watches, but this watch came in a shipping envelope and a cheapy box, though these modest approaches to packaging did the trick. The watch has a cool, sculpted look, with big function buttons. It looks like something from the future. It also has a number of nice features, all of which are fairly intuitive to use. Overall, I like the watch, though there are a few critiques; please understand that I am being really picayune here:The coloring on the watch is a little strange. The "Protection" is written in white, but the G-Shock is colorless. The Adjust and Reverse buttons are marked in white, but the Mode and Forward buttons again are colorless, which does not make much sense from a practical or aesthetic viewpoint, though not bothersome. I also find the hands somewhat difficult to see, as they are white and get lost amongst the busyness of the watch face. A different color might have been better. The light illuminates the hands fine, but not the LCD display. Further, there is no luminous paint on the watch. While not really necessary with the light, it would have been a nice touch. Lastly, the strap is plastic and feels like it, being somewhat stiff. I presume it will work in. Other than that, I do like the watch. It is eye catching and lighter weight than it looks and while it is substantial, it does not feel big. It looks really high-tech and if it lives up to its billing of being anti-magnetic and shock resistant, it should serve me for many years....Read More
